Is there a way you can speed up your Bit Torrent downloads?

Depending on ur torrent client, u can increase the amount of Peers ans Seeds u can connect to at one time. The more seeds u connect to the better.

If you are using a router, modem router or a modem which has a firewall, u should disable them.

There is also something called port forwarding. Its the process of opening a port in ur router to direct the data to the right computer. Its not dangerous at all for a home computer. This is the major part about the speed

Use a better program Azureus FTW! Or you could use BitTornado, Which is slightly better than bittorrent

Whats Azureus? Usually I use Limewire but I've only just started using Bit Torrent so yeah.

Also if I start using Bit Tornado can I transfer my other downloads across to it or do I have to start all over again?

Hmm, I used to use Azureus, well my bro and sis did. It kinda screwed up now... I'm pretty sure we use UTorrent now.... well it's a sign that looks like U-Torrent. Apparantly it's "Micro".

Well, To answer you question, If you transfer the downloads to azureus then you will have to download all over again, Azureus is like limwire and BiTorent combined, It downloads torrents and it does it in one window where it downloads all at once and it gives you maximum speed
