Just making everyone aware of the upcoming The Spoils TCG events at Sydney Games Centre, Level 1, 195a Burwood Rd Burwood in November and December.

THE SPOILS WIN A BOX SEALED

When: Sunday November 11th. Noon rego, 12.30pm start(if you'd like
to learn how to play drop in around 11.30am and we'll show you how
its done!)
Format:: Sealed(you get a competition pack and 2 boosters to crack
and make a 45 card minimum deck with)
Entry: $35
Prizes: Winner gets a box of boosters, plus promos to top 4 players!
Everyone wins at least 1 pack, plus a fun day of playing The Spoils,
getting cards in a fun way and starting off your Spoils career up as
prizes! Plus it¡¦s a good warm up to the win a wii December 1st!

November 25th we're running a learn to play afternoon in preparation
of the win a Wii December 1 & 2! Details as follows:

When: Sunday November 25th from 2pm onwards
Format: Learn to play
Entry: FREE!
Prizes: If you beat the demoer you win a The Spoils TCG pack!!!!
Plus you get heaps of practice for the Win a Wii tournament the next
weekend!!!!!!!!!

And then the UBER BIG tournament-a weekend of The Spoils TCG loving!
Win a Wii Saturday and a $500 tournament Sunday! Details as follows:

THE SPOILS WIN A WII TOURNAMENT

When: Saturday 1st December. 10.30am rego, 11am start
Format: Sealed(you get a tournament pack and 2 boosters to crack and
make a 45 card minimum deck with)
Entry: $40
Prizes: Winner gets a Nintendo Wii! Top 8 draft on Sunday at 11am to
find out who is the champ! Boosters and a fun day of playing The
Spoils sealed up as prizes.

Then on the Sunday for all those who don't make top 8 we're running
a $500 constructed tournament! Details as follows:

When: Sunday 2nd December. 11.30am rego, Noon start
Format: Constructed
Entry: $20
Prizes: Winner takes home $250!!! Runner up $150, 3rd and 4th $50
each! plus heaps of boosters up as prizes for the rest of the field.

The Following week(Sunday December 9th) we're running another sealed
win a box tournament for people to warm up for the Good Games win a
Wii December 15 & 16th

PLUS! We draft and play constructed casual every Saturday afternoon from 2pm. If we get 4 players for constrructed we'll sanction it, and drafts will always be sanctioned.

I'm just reminding everyone that this Sunday we have a win a box The Spoils TCG on at Sydney Games Centre. The game around 3 weeks old in AU, which means no one is real good at the moment. This event is sealed for the specific reason to give newbies(ie everyone)a fair shot at winner, and to get cards in a fun cheap way. I can give players a run down on how to play anytime, and from the demos I've done so far, anyone whose played a TCG before pick the game up in a matter of turns. A lot of strong US YGO players are playing Spoils as their money game, I think the same will happen here.

In December there is 2 win a wii(sealed as well) and 2 $500 events(constructed) in Sydney, and 1 in Melbourne, and in January the release of the new expansion will have a Nintendo DS as first prize at the release event. To add to that, the game is NUTS fun with cool art and funny pop culture references.

Now is the chance to get into a great game with strong prize support at the early stages, cruise in and try

Heaps of fun yesterday, after 4 rounds Danny Phung was 4 blot to win the box, some goober called Kieren was 3-1 second and Nathan Canty-Seghars finished 3rd. Everyone won heaps of packs, and had fun

We can show you how to play anytime, however November 25th from 2pm we'll run a learn to play session at SGC and if you beat the demoer you'll win a pack of The Spoils. This is a week before the win a wii/$500 weekend, so cruise in and have a try

Just reminding everyone from 2pm onwards Sunday we have a Learn to Play Spoils TCG session and if you beat a demoer you win a booster of The Spoils!

And if you have some time after YGO Hobby League we play casual constructed and draft tournaments from about 2pm each Saturday. I showed a few players how it was does last Saturday and most YGO players pick it up in around 3 turns. Prizes for this game are great, come in and have a demo

What I should do is get Kieran to teach me how to play like a pro in a week, then play the Win A Wii sealed ;D

Just reminding everyone that the first of 3 BIG The Spoils events is happening this weekend in Sydney, tomorrow from 11am you can play sealed to win a Wii, and Sunday constructed to try to win a part of $500.


We went with Sealed for the Wii as the game is very new to AU. Its easy to learn, but more importantly, stacks of fun. Not many people are playing at this stage(maybe 15-20 in Sydney)so you have a pretty good chance of being up there, as everyone is effectively a newbie.

OK, the first BIG The Spoils TCG weekend in Sydney is over. On Saturday we had 17 players cruise in to try to win the wii, and the top 8 looked like this:

Steven beat Nathan 2-1
Daniel beat Andrew 2-0
Kenny beat Josh 2-0
Michael beat Danny 2-1

Stephen beat Daniel 2-0
Michael beat Kenny 2-0

Steven beat Michael 2-1 to take home the Wii

Then on Sunday a small crowd of just 7 came to play for $500, and the top 2 was Steven Phung pitted against Troy Armstrong(using Steves brothers deck!) Steve won again, 2-1, making it a pretty good weekend for him-$250 and a wii!

All money winners got their checks on the spot and were VERY happy about it

Honourable mentions to Josh Stojanovic and Troy Armstrong, both playing there first ever The Spoils TCG tournament Saturday.

For those in Sydney, Good Games have a $25 sealed win a box tournament Wedesday night, SGC has drafts & connstructed Saturday arvo from 2pm, and a sealed win a box for $35 this Sunday, Cardheaven Melbourne have their BIG The Spoils Wii/$500 weekend this weekend 8th & 9th December, and Good Games Sydney have their Dec 15th and 16th, if you wanna try to grab a wii, a cheque, or just cut Steve Phung down to size
